Prices for new cars
Demand traditionally falls in summer, but experts do not expect a serious price reduction.:

- Sergey Tselikov (Autostat) He advises you to plan your purchase for the second half of June – dealers are more likely to give discounts by the end of the quarter.
Foreign cars with mileage from abroad are getting cheaper
The strengthening of the ruble has already affected prices. An example is Toyota Levin: two months ago it cost about 1.6 million rubles, now you can bring it for 1.5 million rubles. However, experts warn that there will be no serious price drop in June. The benefit of the course works mainly for cars up to 160 hp. – The more powerful ones are under pressure from high utilization.
Reducing the time for confiscation of cars at customs, the storage period for unclaimed cars at customs has been reduced from 60 to 30 days. If the owner does not pick up the car during this time, it will be turned into federal property. This is especially true for cars that were stuck at the border in early 2026 – they did not have time to be imported before the increase in recycling from December 1, 2025.
Registration of drunk drivers has been simplified. Since June, traffic police officers do not need to draw up 3-5 documents when checking a driver with signs of intoxication. Now it is possible to make marks about removal from management and detention of the car directly in other protocols, there is less paperwork.
